Hey all you cool cats and kittens!

If you don’t understand that reference by now, you’ve got some catching up to do. We are over a month into quarantine so you have absolutely no excuse to not have completed the Netflix series, Tiger King. After finishing the show, we are left with several points to process:

1) We know we’re not ~really~ supposed to, but where can one cuddle with a baby tiger?

2) Why hasn’t Joe Exotic won a Grammy yet?

And 3) How did Carole Baskin manage to stunt on all of us with her outfits in every single episode?

In case you were too distracted by Joe Exotic’s political campaign, his complicated love stories, the felonies committed at his zoo, or the employee whose arm was ripped off by a tiger, allow us to explain our third point.

Listen, before you freak out, we’re not saying we love Carole Baskin. We’re not even saying we like her a little. We are simply acknowledging what everyone else has failed to, and that is that Carole has some style. Let’s ~bask in~ some of Baskin’s iconic looks...

First of all, Carole Baskin is NOTHING without her classic flower crown. 2016 Coachella, who? Cruising on her golf cart through her (extremely suspicious) zoo, wind in her hair, flower crown atop her head— Baskin is simply a vision. We’re not even going to pretend flower crowns are in right now, but if anyone can make it work, it’s probably Carole (we still didn’t forget she fed her husband to the tigers, don’t worry).

Now that we’re thinking about it, there are really only two elements to Carole Baskin’s signature style. The second? You guessed it— tiger print, baby! Where do we even begin?

If you think you went a little too hard on the recent animal print trend (because we certainly did), think again! This woman has it all. Baskin must have single-handedly purchased every existing “big cat” printed product that has ever been produced. Someone put that closet in a museum (or maybe a cage). There are far too many exotic looks to give each the attention it deserves, but allow us to highlight a few...

The pink cheetah-print poncho. You know the one. Must we say more?

The cheetah work boots. Honestly, we’re into them. Kind of looking for a pair ourselves...

The leopard print bell bottoms. GO OFF, SIS! Not only did Baskin hop right on the current animal print trend but she took it a step further with a flared pant. Carole Baskin walked so Instagram models could run.

For the final and most iconic Baskin fit of them all... HER ENGAGEMENT PHOTO LOOK. The coordination between her outfit and her husband’s. The attention to detail. The incorporation of props and patterns. Absolutely jaw-dropping to say the very least. Carole, you have done it again.

After assessing her looks, we encourage you all to incorporate a bit of Baskin boldness into your wardrobes (or Halloween costumes).

If there’s one good thing we can take from Tiger Queen, Carole Baskin (and we mean literally ONE thing), it’s her ~wild~ style. Watch out exotic zookeepers, we’ve got a trendsetter on the loose!
