Day 25-26: Russia, A Four-Letter Word

Somewhere in the distance, you can hear a wealthy Russian man chuckling to himself

There is a chance, however small, that the dominos of the Trump administration have begun to fall. Donald “I’m not a puppet” Trump’s former national security advisor Michael Flynn resigned on Monday, after the Justice Department discovered that he could have exposed himself to Russian blackmail.

Flynn resigned after it came to light that he had conducted compromising phone calls with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak. Flynn also lied to Vice President Mike Pence regarding the nature of the conversations, which was, according to spokesperson Kellyanne Conway, the primary force behind his resignation.

According to incoherent ball of anger White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, Trump recently demanded Flynn’s resignation, although he knew about the breech for 17 days before taking any action.

If only someone had warned Trump about Flynn’s indiscretions…

Oh wait, former attorney general Sally Yates did warn Trump, just days before he fired her!

The takeaway from this, besides the possible blackmail and violation of national security, is that although Trump promised to hire “the best people,” his cabinet seems to be anything but. His national security advisor lasted a grand total of 24 days, his Secretary of Education is an unequivocal moron, and the Trump administration seems reminiscent of a Cold War America, as the latest intelligence reports show that Trump’s staff contacted Russian senior intelligence officials during the election.

It seems that the murderers row of a cabinet that Trump assembled may not be as unimpeachable as previously believed, and it could have lasting effects on President Agent Orange’s presidency.
